This project was developed to empower disadvantaged people living in the Benalla community to grow their own food using wicking garden beds to improve their food security. Wicking garden beds were constructed and placed in participants’ backyards to encourage them to grown their own food. This project was implemented originally in the Benalla local government area and is now being implemented in the Alpine local government area.
Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Managers’ Training Package: The purpose of this package is to support facilitators with the delivery of the ‘Identifying and Responding to Family Violence’ training to managers of health and community services. It was designed for the Western Metropolitan Region and includes specific information on referrals and responses for this region. However the training principles are based on best practice in identifying and responding to family violence and may therefore be easily adapted for other Metropolitan Regions in Victoria. The Package includes: Training Outline, Facilitator’s Guide, PowerPoint Slides and Participant Handbook.
