The Integrated Health Planning Group (IHPG) is a group of health and wellbeing organisations coming together under a Collective Impact approach. The IHPG aims to improve the health of local communities in the Yarra Ranges through the implementation of initiatives that address reducing the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages, and increasing the consumption of water. This forms the body of work towards one of their three priority areas: nutrition, physical activity and the prevention of violence against women.
Version 2 of the very popular Joey and the Heatwave initiative saw another 4000 copies (included translated copies) of the storybook to reduce and prevent the negative impacts of climate change (specifically heat) upon human health among culturally diverse communities in Melbourne’s South East
Enliven Victoria partnered with Jesuit Social Services, Victorian Council of Social Services and Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action to create a culturally responsive, accessible resource to reduce and prevent the negative impacts of climate change (specifically heat) upon human health among culturally diverse communities in Melbourne’s South East, specifically newly arrived families. Target audience included families with children aged 5-8 years who are newly arrived to Australia (<5 years) with low understanding of Australian climate and heat-related health issues. Joey and the Heatwave was the resultant children's storybook that was developed with this funding and distributed to 3000 children/families

A need was recognised to develop a document for: advocating for food security and guiding development and implementation of best practice programs. This need was identified through research that highlighted the Outer East Melbourne Region had a high risk of food insecurity. Five Regional Food Principles (RFP) were developed to guide practice and support advocacy in this area. This document aims to explore the literature, and test the application of the RFP by comparing them to current programs in the region.
