Seat at the Table (SATT) brought young people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds together with mental health service providers in Melbourne’s western suburbs. SATT was designed to explore whether co-design is an appropriate and effective method in health promotion. This was highlighted as important because of the recent trend in using co-design as a model for community engagement, when it is in fact a labour and resource intensive model.
This review was initiated to inform future understanding of the complex needs of arriving refugees and to plan for the current and predicated future demands for the City of Hume. The review describes crucial elements of three services models in the Hume catchment, looks at key literature, population trends, and service data and identifies barriers to and enablers of best practice in the current models.

Established in 2015, the Outer Northern Refugee Health Network was established to respond to the increase of refugees to the local area. This report outlines the key findings and future recommendations.
Part of the Outer Northern Refugee Health Network strategic plan 2018-2021 the network developed an annual work plan. The strategic plan identified four priority areas supported by a range of actions and activities. This report is a recap of these priorities and actions.
