Proud & Deadly Awards

The Proud and Deadly Awards are an annual celebration of the aspirations, talents, excellence, achievements and valuable contributions our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students make towards their respective schools and communities. The Proud and Deadly Awards has been running in Wangaratta for 7 years. This Awards model has since been implemented in Benalla. Benalla just held their second Proud and Deadly Awards ceremony.

The Primary Health Workforce Capacity Building for Self-Management Support Project is a Chronic Care Workforce Initiative that was funded by the Department of Health and Human Services and delivered by the Central Hume Primary Care Partnership. The aim of the project was to increase workforce confidence by building capacity in self-management support capabilities. The project subsequently funded training in 2017 to address identified gaps in self-management support core capabilities

'An Age-Friendly Approach to Disaster Recovery' Virtual Launch

Central Hume Primary Care Partnership is pleased to be able to share with you the virtual launch of the 'An Age-Friendly Approach to Disaster Recovery' report prepared by Dr Kathleen Brasher for the Age Friendly Northeast Victoria Alliance. This report was launched on the 22nd April 2020 by Dr Helen Haines MP, Member for Indi who stated in her address that "this report is timely, it couldn't be more timely...this report is steeped in society, it's person centered, it's place based and it's values driven."

Northeast Health Wangaratta – Orientation

The Aboriginal Health and Community Support Worker (Central Hume PCP) works in partnership with the Aboriginal Health Service Development Officer (Northeast Health Wangaratta), to provide practical cultural awareness training to Northeast Health Wangaratta staff when required and supports community inline with the Central Hume Aboriginal Health Model.
