The Inner North West Collaborative Evaluation Project (INCEPT) began in 2014 as a partnership between INW PCP and the University of Melbourne. Informed by elements of a collective impact framework, its primary focus was to develop a joint framework for agencies to define and monitor common indicators and progress measures in Prevention of Violence Against Women (PVAW) work. INCEPT 2.0, an online, interactive collective evaluation resource was developed which provides consistent measures for shared data collection in preventing family violence and all forms of violence against women, and gender equity (GE).
What do men have to say about the narrative of manhood?
“Enter The Man Box” is an art installation piece that explores the narrative of manhood and what men say to each other to make them a “Real Man.”
This project is a part of Project Momentum and produced in collaboration with Kindred Studios, and Vic Polytechnic Construction and Sound departments, Victoria University.
These 5 principles have 4 main aims or applications:
- To act as a self-guide and support tool for men interested in becoming allies for gender equity
- To support women to be able to clearly identify male allies and hold them accountable as men attempt and do this work
- To support teams, groups and supervisors as reflective discussion questions to collectively work in a gender transformative way
- The principles can even be used for project and program evaluation.
This guide is a resource for people interested in creating projects that work with men to prevent violence against women in their communities.
This is a grassroots, community mobilisation approach that has been piloted across the west of Melbourne since 2016. This resource can be used as a step-by-step guide for creating your own project, or to inspire and support projects you may already be running or creating.
The Busting the Myths project captures the stories of seven women and their experience of men’s violence. The project is a partnership with OEPCP, Women’s Health East Speaking Out Advocates Program and EDVOS. The project highlights how these women’s lived experiences expose and challenge some of the most commonly held social myths about violence against women. This resource has been developed for use by OEPCP partners and beyond, and we encourage broader dissemination where appropriate. We do ask that the video be shared thoughtfully to respect the courage and generosity of the women in the video.
