Our 3021 Summary Qualitative Evaluation Report

2015 – 2022 | HealthWest | West Metro

Our3021 was a four year project (2014-2017) that worked towards creating a stronger, healthier and more socially inclusive community within the local government area of Brimbank, in Melbourne’s western suburbs. The project aimed to empower and mobilise communities to improve their health and wellbeing. Our3021 utilised an asset-based approach to build-on and harness the existing capacity of community members through community-led health and wellbeing projects. An exploratory qualitative evaluation was most appropriate to gain an understanding of the impact the project had on participants  and their communities as a result of the  Our3021 project.

Re-Opening Op Shops (Central Vic PCP)

2015 – 2022 | Central Victoria | Loddon Mallee

Op shops across the Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander Shires engage between 250-300 volunteers, of which many are older and vulnerable to communicable health conditions. Op Shops were forced to close during the COVID 19 lockdown measures at a time when vulnerable families were seeking affordable warm clothing for winter. Across both shires it was recognised that op shops needed support to reopen, without compromising on the safety of the community and op shop volunteers. 19 op shops in Macedon Ranges and Mount Alexander Shires were engaged to better understand what is needed for them to re-open.

Our 3021 Case Studies

2015 – 2022 | HealthWest | West Metro

Our3021 aims to improve the health, wellbeing and social connectedness of communities in the west. The project engaged with community members who self-identified as leaders. These leaders went on to develop small-scale projects with the support of Our3021 staff. The Our3021 project was externally evaluated. The resulting thematic analysis of each year of the project evaluation helped show the effectiveness of the project’s partnership model and the impacts on the health and wellbeing of individuals involved in the project.
