Recruiting for Diversity: What we heard in Melbourne’s west

The Recruiting for Diversity project set out to identify what hinders and supports human resource departments to adopt fair, accessible and equitable recruitment practices within their organisations. Through these conversations HealthWest have learnt that whilst there is broad support for workplace diversity, particularly from organisational leaders, there are a variety of practical strategies that organisations can take to improve employment access for people from a range of life circumstances, backgrounds and identities.
The HealthWest ‘Recruiting for Diversity’ report shares what we heard around challenges and opportunities from 6 local organisations working towards greater employment inclusivity.

The Statement of Commitment was designed as a tool to mobilise SMPCP members as leaders in the prevention of violence against women and their children and to support whole of organisation engagement in its delivery. The document outlines the principles that signatories would uphold and actions they would undertake in meeting the commitment and creating a safe, inclusive and respectful community.

This is a compilation of summary reports regarding member surveys conducted between 2016 and 2019 in order to demonstrate the impact of signing the SMPCP Family Violence Statement Of Commitment (FVSOC). The survey questions aligned to the actions in the FVSOC and results as a way to measure changes that may have occurred as a result of signing the FVSOC.
